Julie, a life-long artist, sailed into Bequia with her family over 40 years ago.  Now, she and her husband Doug are permanent residents of SVG, and Julie continues to paint Bequia scenes, people, flora and fauna in acrylics and watercolours.

Julie’s delightful Mango Art Studio is located in the hills above Spring, on the ground floor of their fascinating, 50 year old Bequia home. A peaceful oasis, surrounded by her tropical flower garden, with spectacular coastal views far below. Here you will discover her new series of vibrant prints on canvas based on her well-loved original painting, Tropical Eden.

Her book, Bequia Reflections, An Artist in the Caribbean (Macmillan Caribbean) is for sale on the main street of Port Elizabeth, at the Bequia Book Shop, the BTA Office and Solana’s.

Mango Art Studio is located next door to the lovely Spring Hotel. Reserve for lunch there (784) 457-3707 (Free Shuttle Service), follow the signs, for a 2 min. walk over to Julie’s Open Studio & Garden: Sunday, Monday or Friday 2pm-5:30pm.
